Another Great Trip

This was our third Super Bowl weekend at Wildcat Lodge and we plan on returning for a fourth next year. As always, the cabin was very clean and the furnishings are excellent...nothing was missing. Nic and the rest of the Burtonwood team are top notch and easy to work with. Our favorite place to hang out is the outdoor fireplace. Take care and see you next year.

Beautiful property. The home was well appointed supplied. Everything was labelled, ie...switches which is very helpful. Everything was clean in in good working order. The lead up to our rental was very efficient, everything well communicated, no surprises. This is a convenient location, close to Hocking Hills State Park for hiking as well as good hiking on the property. My only complaint is that the renters are required to clean the outdoor fireplace, remove all ashes, or incur an additional cleaning fee. I feel this should be included. I liked that Nic stopped by the day we arrived to give an overview explanation. Overall a great experience I would recommend this property Burtonwood Lodging Co. to others.

Richard, thank you for your kind review of our Rock Hollow cabin. We are happy to learn that you and your friends had a great time! The exterior wood burning fireplace is an amenity not supplied by many cabins in Hocking Hills. We strive to provide top notch furnishings and amenities at all our cabins. We only ask guests to clean the ashes from the fireplace in order for the fireplace and the surrounding furniture not to be covered in soot, which not only helps reduce cleaning costs, but also helps to ensure no damage is caused to the surrounding environment as a result of its use. Our goal is not to charge guests for excess cleaning. Rather we strive to ensure the environment remains in excellent condition for all guests. I hope this helps explain our policy. Again, thank you for your review and we look forward to seeing you in Hocking Hills again soon!

Winter Storm Getaway

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Hidden Valley cabin. We have stayed at many hocking hills cabins over the years and the Burton Lodging team had great customer service. The communication via email and the personal welcome walk through was over and above my expectations. They even plowed the driveway during our stay when a winter storm hit! We were very appreciative of that. Our only minor criticism was the lack of large serving ware/containers for making large dishes.

Overall pleasant experience. The directions provided were of great help. This home, compared to others was very modern with new amenities. It did not offer the cabin feel however it is nestled in a beautiful natural setting. I recommend leaving a guest book for guest to sign and/or allowing guest to leave a small item/token which is standard for most cabins in hocking hills. The host met us at the cabin and made himself available if we should need anything during the trip. This was also atypical for hocking hills but the welcome was appreciated. Hidden valley raises the bar for vacations in hocking hills.
