A long tradition in the Hocking Valley--the annual Santa Trains. Continue the tradition as Santa visits each child as the train rolls along the valley.
Take part in an annual Christmas tradition in the Hocking River Valley that families have enjoyed for 40 years. As the train departs, Santa begins his journey through the train of heated coaches and visits with each child, hearing their special requests before the Big Day. Each child also gets to enjoy a candy treat after Santas visit. Trains operate each Saturday and Sunday between November 24th and December 16th at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and an evening departure on Saturday December 8th and 15th at 6:00 p.m. Each train departs Nelsonville round trip for about 20 miles and lasts approximately two hours. Reservations are strongly suggested as trains often sell out.
It is the same route to and from East Logan; the train simply reverses direction by moving the locomotive to the other end of the train.
