Perfect cozy cabin after a day of hiking!
Our family loved the open living room and kitchen to eat and relax together! Our bedrooms were super cozy as well, and our teenagers loved having the basement to themselves. The hot tub and many chairs around the fireplace took it over the top. We loved it!

My family and I travel to this area about once a year. We always look for a new place to stay. I will book this cabin again for our next trips. It exceeded our expectations. We over packed. The cabin was excellent and well maintained. The owners clearly care about making a great impression with the guests. I have stayed at other cabins in the area, but this by far out paced other locations. Honestly, if you are debating between this cabin and another, go with this one. The location of this cabin was very secluded, which we loved! Not as close to hiking trails as we would have liked, but it wasn't a terribly far drive to get to places like Old Mans Cave and small local restaurants. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with many amenities. Having fire wood provided for bon fires was a huge plus! We will definitely be back!

We have rented cabins in Hockings Hills between Christmas and New Year's over the last 15 years. This was a very well equipped cabin. It was beautiful, well kept and cozy. Everything was clean and nice. The Beds were comfy and nice. The kitchen was had everything you could want to prepare any meal. We enjoyed the hot tub. Pat was attentive and responseisve to our issue when one of vehicles got stuck in the driveway due to ice and snow. We would recommend this cabin to anyone!

This cabin retreat is amazing. Youre close enough to a quaint grocery store with some of the best fresh cuts of meat for grilling. The kitchen was stocked with everything youd need to cook and grill out. Extremely clean and well decorated interior. Our stay was wonderful! Perfect size for our group. My 4 kiddos loved that basement and all the adults 6 had more than enough space. So blessed that we got to spend a fall weekend at Woodland Retreat! It checked all the boxes- quiet road, spacious CLEAN cabin, well-stocked utensils and dishes. Beautiful
My husband and I from Florida, sister and husband from California, and a sister and brother and their spouses from Ohio all got together at Pat and Crystals cabin. It was a beautiful place to stay and we had such a great time! Loved the openness where we could hang out and be together. The place was spotless and had everything you needed for your stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and especially enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evening. They even had hotdog sticks and a basket with smores! I really appreciated how nice and helpful Pat was with the booking. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you Pat and Crystal for making our family reunion great!

Loved it, can't wait to go back
I booked this cabin for our annual mommy needs to get away weekend. I could not have been more impressed The beds were so comfortable. The hot tub was beyond perfect. Our entire weekend was hands down the best. Clean and spacious. The owners were very informative, and kind. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing getaway
Our stay was wonderful! Perfect size for our group. My 4 kiddos loved that basement and all the adults 6 had more than enough space. The kitchen is large enough to easily cook meals as a group and still be with everyone. The location is perfect. Closer to so many fun finds. Not a far drive to anything. No signal. None. Zero. But it's vacation!

Great Stay In Woodland Retreat Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at the Woodland Retreat cabin with Hocking Hills Yurts and Cabins. The property was gorgeous! Everything was as pictured on the website, and there was lots of space. Everything was clean and we felt like we were at home. We had no problems with the cabin at all. We also enjoyed the firepit area wood was included and the trail behind the cabin. Since our schedule during our stay was so tight, and we didn't bring swimsuits, we didn't get to enjoy the hot tube, but everything was available. Pat was very helpful and the rental process was smooth. I would recommend this to my friends and the ones who saw out pictures, loved the cabin.

Such a great experience!
The owners were great to work with from the start, very friendly and answered all the questions we had about our stay no problem! They even sent us a map of the area before our stay. The cabin itself was very nice, the open living room was beautiful and the large dinning table perfect for family meals. The outdoor deck lounging, hot tub and fire pit really topped off the experience for night time. This cabin was also a comfortable distance from some popular attractions in the area like Rock House and Old Mans Cave. I could not of asked for a better lodging option for our first visit to Hocking Hills. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone! Thank you for the great experience!

Our little home away from home
My husband and I love bringing our little girls here every few months. We've been here 3 times now and each time we have a blast. The washer and dryer is a huge plus. Lots of room and board games/tv/internet. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It's clean, comfy beds, plenty of throw blankets and pillows. The owners have left wine for us a couple times and left our little girls some cookie dough in the fridge. The hot tub on the back deck is awesome.In the warmer months there's lots of land to explore, and we love having fires in the firepit. I recommend it! We will be back soon

This was an amazing vacation rental. The cabin was immaculate. The owners made every possible effort to make our stay perfect, from a welcoming bottle of wine, to SMores makings, to plenty of firewood. Pat even called some local restaurants to find out dining availability for our first night there.. We were celebrating a Birthday. I would highly recommend Woodland Retreat for your stay in Hocking Hills. Booking was very easy, confirmation communication was very thorough, we even received a packet with tourist information about things to do in Hocking Hills.

Woodland retreat
My family and I finally got to take a weekend to get away from our day to day! This was the first time we have rented a cabin anywhere and the timing couldn't have be more perfect given all that is going on in the current world. Pat has been wonderful since the beginning of the renting process. He made sure all our questions were answered, we were comfortable and had all we needed at the cabin. I will highlight a few of my favorite things. 1. In the guest book is a cute little riddle game for those who wish to participate. You write a riddle that leads the next occupants to the location of a hidden dollar and keep it going kind of like a pass it forward if you will. 2. There are loads of games, books and really just a great atmosphere for feeling at home. 3. The way the cabin is decorated is just beautiful, the open concept of the main room with the dining area really makes it easy to be near those you love. 4. Pat had a little basket of supplies to make s'mores, popcorn and coffee which was sweet. If you are looking for peace and quiet with a perfect splash of luxury then this is an ideal cabin to stay in. We look forward to our next stay and highly recommend booking with Pat.

Great place to stay in the Hocking Hills area!
We spent a few days in this lovely home for a quick get away before our kids started back to school. The home was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our group of 7. Our three boys loved the finished basement with spaces for them to sleep and play the provided games and puzzles. The main area of the home was open concept with a fully equipped kitchen, large island, huge dining table and a living area. We enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck and the fire pit in the side yard. We have been to the Hocking Hills area several times and have found this to be our favorite place to stay. We will definitely check to see if this place is available the next time we visit the area again!

Hocking Hills Yurts and Cabins Review
The cabin was excellent and well maintained. The owners clearly care about making a great impression with the guests. I have stayed at other cabins in the area, but this by far out paced other locations. Honestly, if you are debating between this cabin and another, go with this one. We had a fantastic time and will hopefully be back next year.

Perfect weekend away

Beautiful, Clean Cabin
We absolutely loved Woodland Retreat. Its a beautiful and very clean cabin. The property is set back in the woods and has a very nice fire ring area and trail behind the cabin. The hot tub was on the back deck where we could listen to nature. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook. The 3 bedrooms and basement were plenty of room for our families. Its very close to Rock house trails and only 25 minutes to Old Mans Cave. We cant wait to go back next year!

Beautiful , clean, appealing
Very beautiful, well kept and updated home with all of the rustic appeal. Furnishings were comfortable, clean and well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Decor was appealing too! My husband and I were the only visitors this time, but this could have easily accommodated my sons family with 3 girls had they come along. The girls would have enjoyed the basement room with all of the games privacy. Owner was very nice as well. We enjoyed the home very much. We even had a garage to park our car as it had rained one of the days.

Amazing Family Getaway
The location was perfect to all the sights. The recommendations for food eats were spot on. The cabin was perfect for our family...great size and the Foosball was an added bonus. The Wifi was appreciated. Firepit and seating area was wonderful. Everything was clean and ready for us to go. I will be back and will recommend to all of my friends.

Awesome cabin
The cabin was great. Clearly Pat and Crystal care a lot about making this a great getaway for people. I was looking at two different cabins from two different rental agencies. Pat answered every question I had on the phone and then exchanged 10 or more texts just to pass along other information. He also responded immediately when we had a tiny problem with the hot tub. Great owners and beautiful cabin. Kitchen is fantastic, living area is spacious. Kids loved their downstairs bedroom/play area. Fire pit was great too. Overall, a great experience!

This was an amazing place to get away with our family!! The owners thought of everything to make our stay welcoming and just what we needed!! We couldnt be anymore pleased with everything.. Very friendly and helpful owners.. The basement set up for the kids was an amazing idea and just what my 11,9,7 year old needed their own space.. I would recommend to anyone wanting to visit hocking hills to stay in this retreat!! The kitchen has everything you can think of.. The trail in the back is perfect for a hike.. It rained our entire visit but that didnt stop us from having an amazing time and bond with our family!!

My experience at Woodland Retreat
I am truly blessed and grateful for the wonderful memories my family and I experienced at the Woodland Retreat cabin! The cabin on the inside wad very warm and welcoming, very spacious, with a huge dining table that fit all 7 of us and room for more! The beds in all 3 bedrooms were very comfortable! My children and grandchildren loved the downstairs room with bunkbeds, foos table, TV, couch, games and more! The hot tub was absolutely wonderful! The decor was perfect! Woodland Retreat
Completely enjoyed this cabin, the mix of a true log home with the all new modern touches made this my top choice of the cabins I have stayed at over the years. Our four kids loved the kids room from Foosball to the multiple board games.
