The cabin was well spaced for 11 adults, had plenty of bathrooms and beds, and lots of places in and outside to hang out and relax at.

The lodge was lovely. It had beautiful decor, was immaculate, and had many amenities, including everything you need to make morning to evening meals (less the food/drinks). We had such a wonderful stay and will definitely refer it to family and friends!

The cabin was very clean, well stocked, and offered plenty of space for group gatherings and privacy. The spaces for sleeping and the 3.5 bathrooms made traveling with middle school students possible! The setting was peaceful, quiet (never heard ANY noise), and allowed for lots of nature interaction. We had 4-5 deer in the front yard daily eating grass! The owners were gracious to work with our school group and we will definitely be back in the future.

The cabin was generally clean and there were lots of games/movies to entertain us on the rainy day.

We enjoyed the air hockey, the ping pong table, the hot tub, the fire pit. The house was comfortable, with plenty of room for 14 people to relax and play.

Loved the activities that were there for the kids to do-ping pong, air hockey and foosball tables. Lots of board games and a nice space for the kids to play. We all enjoyed the hot tub! Nice location to go to the trails and caves. Clean and enough space for everyone at the cabin. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds.

We had 8 adults, 3 children and 1 dog in our group and everyone felt right at home and had plenty of room and lots of fun. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The location is easy to find and made a wonderful fall family outing.

This house had everything we needed, and was very comfortable for our group of 10 adults.

My wife and I spent a week. Our adult kids and spouses plus one grandchild came for the weekend. We enjoyed the area and the facilities of the cabin.

Black bear cabin was beautiful. We had 5 Adults and 9 kids. It fit us all comfortably. Our stay was mostly rained out but with all of the extra amenities the kids were well entertained. We loved the corn hole, air hockey and board games. I personally loved the wrap around porch and the views. Got to see deer in the morning during the sunrise. Will definitely come back again!

Our son and his family stayed with us for a couple of days and our mini getaway was perfect! It is incredibly spacious and the property is so peaceful! You can sit out on the porch swing and watch the deer and listen to the birds. There was something for everyone to do! Loved the master bedroom and bathroom! The cabin is very clean and beautiful! Of all of our trips to Hocking Hills, everyone said that this was the best lodge they've stayed in. From the personal touches in every room, to the very fast responses from Jobie, our experience and overall stay exceeded our expectations. We would love to come back and stay at Black Bear again and can't imagine booking with any other company.

We loved our stay at Black Bear Hideaway! Though this was our first visit, we felt as if we had been here before because the pictures online were just what we saw when we arrived. Everything was very clean and all we needed to do was to move our things in and choose our rooms. One thing that we were not expecting was the rather large front yard where we were able to play some six-person games of frisbee each evening while some of us sat on the front porch to enjoy the action. After frisbee we were able to enjoy the hot tub and a nice fire in the firepit to make s'mores. We prepared all of our meals at the cabin and the kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. Cantwell Cliffs is very nearby, but our favorite hike was to Conkles Hollow. The rim trail is quite near the rim and is probably not a good hike for young children, but the gorge trail is beautiful we were there in July. It was very cool even though the day was hot and everything was lush and green. We called it the Enchanted Forest because it felt as if we had stepped into another world. Hocking Lodging Company was very quick to address any issues that we had and we would definitely plan to stay here again when we return to Hocking Hills.

On a negative note, the house number needs to be more visible from the road, over all the cabin was clean but there were a few areas that need closer attention inside drawers, corner floors. There is a large crock pot but the knob is broken off so you cannot use it. Thank goodness I had brought mine so I had one. We arrived after a snow fall and the porch, even though one path was shoveled to the back door, was extremely icy and dangerous. The rock steps as well with or without the snow on them.

The cabin was equipped with everything we needed so all we had to do was bring the food. The hot tub was very nice and able to be controlled by us to meet the temperature we wanted. The cabin was overall very clean upon arrival and everything was in working order. I only have two complaints about the entire stay. The first would be the stains that we found on multiple comforters in the cabin. It looked as though running them through the washer would have fixed this but still it is always unpleasant to find any stains on bedding. My other complaint would be that the cabin was not entirely secluded from other people. I was hoping to be away from all other guests. Aside from these two issues I was very happy with our stay. I did not take away any stars from the rating since I dont think it is the fault of the owners for missing some stains and of me for not fully establishing whether it was a remote location or not. I would suggest staying here again to anyone interested. The price is very reasonable if you can get enough people to fill the cabin. We had 14 at first but some bailed out and we ended up with only 8 people going and had empty beds. We could have easily taken my car for the trip as opposed to my truck but I could see where a truck would come in handy if snow was in the forecast. I would also highly suggest having all necessary food and beverages before arriving since the closest store is about 30 minutes away. We also had to drive 30 minutes to reach Old Mans Cave in order to go hiking but again that was due to my lack of understanding where the cabin was located
