We have stayed at The Pine Tree House several times now and plan to continue to keep it as our favorite HH 'get-a-away' spot. The location is very convenient to all the 'hot spots' in the area, and just minutes from Logan. The cabin is cozy and warm. I felt at home, away from home. The owners are very kind and accommodating and not like 'drill sergeants' as with other cabins we have stayed where notes all over the cabin with do's and don'ts. If you have common sense and respect for other peoples property these are not required, and if you don't, then you need to stay at home! The atmosphere makes you feel at home and at ease. We felt comfortable, not like you are 'invading' their space. My goal with staying away from home is to relax and breath easy, and this is definitely possible to accomplish in this beautifully designed cabin! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a refreshing break from it all!!

Had an incredible four nights at The Big Pine Tree House. My husband and I stayed in July. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and it was the best anniversary ever. We visit Hocking every year and this was by far the best cabin we've ever stayed in. When we arrived, jazz was playing on the satellite radio...very nice touch. Homemade brownies and sparkling cider awaited us with a nice hand-written note from the owner. Everything we needed was there too. We've stayed at many cabins with nice amenities but the Tree House offered the most from paper products, coffee, creak and sugar to spices, tea, biscotti, chocolate....and this was the kitchen. We had fun looking at all the décor and trying to figure out what movie to watch was hard as they have hundreds available. It rained that night but instead of going out, we made spaghetti and played Trivial Pursuit. The owners also leave various kinds of books to read as well. There is no Wifi but it was nice getting away without reminders of work and everything else in civilization. we scheduled a horse back ride at Happy Trails the next day and it is in walking distance...very convenient. We also went to the pool at the Hocking Hills Dining Lodge which is about a five minute drive. We had dinner there too which I would consider, affordable fine dining. Food was spectacular and the service was impeccable. The next night we got in the hot-tub which is surrounded by God's beauty. We sat up late into the evening listening to the crickets on the front deck which is nicely decorated. Together we give the Tree House four thumbs up. We will be back.

Perfect time. Great cabin, great hospitality, loads of extras....will be back.

My fiancée surprised me on our anniversary with a weekend to The Big Pine Tree House. Such a pleasant surprise. He went above and beyond. We fell in love with this cabin, especially with the location and design. Everything was perfect. The owner left us some homemade brownies and sparkling cider, a nice surprise. The place was immaculate. Sitting on the front deck, high in the trees while the snow fell made me never want to go home. The owner told me when I called to book that one of her guests had said it almost felt like 'the house was hugging you'. I can see that. So warm and inviting. Time flew too quickly. There is a check-out list and no trash pick-up so we had to take our own trash and dispose of it but not a big deal. Still worth a five star review. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We will come back on our honeymoon. Yes, he proposed.

My husband and I enjoyed the Big Pine Tree House. It is truly an amazing get-away and we plan on coming back next Fall. Thank you Mark and Julie for providing us with a one-of-a-kind cabin with extras. Have a great Christmas!!!

Stayed at the Tree House again. Always impressed with the quality and customer service. This time Julie left us home-made brownies and hot cocoa...yum! Nothing compares to staying at this wonderful and unique retreat and sitting on the front deck, up high in the trees and marveling at God's beauty. There is nothing else like it in Hocking Hills. We will keep coming back.

Our stay at the BigPineTreeHouse was absolutely delightful! The design, the craftsmanship, and the decor were outstanding. The "treehouse" atmosphere is perfect for Hocking Hills, and the modern amenities, coupled with cleanliness and attention to details, made it a very lovely, comfortable, welcoming place for rest and refreshment. BigPineTreeHouse is on our list to re-visit!

My sisters and I stayed at the Big Pine Tree House a couple of weeks ago. We had stayed previously at a cabin in Hocking that touted how wonderful of a cabin it was only to find, it was far from wonderful. I could write a whole dissertation on why the previous cabin left more to be desired but that can be on their page. As for the Tree House...it was far more than we expected it to be. The architecture was incredible...there was so much space and sunshine. It was spotless too. There were tons of extras that previous cabins we stayed at, charged you for or told you to bring your own. I had one cabin that told us to bring our own toilet paper and DVDs if we wanted to watch a movie. Well, the Tree House owners left us homemade brownies, candy and hot cocoa, biscotti, coffee, instant coffee, tea, butter, olive oil, vinegar, tons of spices, vanilla, jelly, salt, pepper, paper towels, lighters, flashlights, candles, books, cookbooks, toiletries, a huge DVD library (name a movie - they probably have it)...and YES....TOILET PAPER!!! IT was so much more value than what we paid for. We stayed n one cabin once, that yes, left you a bunch of stuff and was a lot smaller than the treehouse but charged twice as much. The Tree House sits on something like 25 acres and it's in such a prime location...near horse-back riding, caves, rappelling....and only 5 minutes from Old Man's Cave. It rained most of the time we were in Hocking but it really didn't matter. There's something about the rain falling on the metal roof. The hot-tube was still a pleasure! The owner left us tons of games from checkers to Hangman. They also left puzzles that we put together. We enjoyed the time but it went too fast!!! We have already scheduled for February!!! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!!!

Beautiful, unique place to stay - very romantic.

Visited with my boyfriend for a weekend. We are accommodation snobs. We've been to five star lodging in Hocking, The Smoky Mountains, and Canada. We expect nothing less than the best when we pay to stay. The Big Pine Tree House et our (high) expectations and then some. Beautiful structure, incredible location, owners going above and beyond to make us happy. All I can say is, we will be back.

Rented this cabin for a long weekend. We had planned to go out to eat and do a lot of hiking in the nearby caves but ended up just staying at the cabin. It was so relaxing and made us feel at home...but in a much better home! Highly recommend. Already booked again for Fall.

My husband and I visited the Big Pine Tree House for a second time. This time we had more time to stay and loved it even more because we got to more of the HH region. We packed a lunch and hiked Salt Peter Caves across the road...what a breath-taking view. We also walked to Happy Trails this time and enjoyed an afternoon ride. Nice horses...nice people. We cooked phenomenal meals. We actually made a pizza on the fire from a recipe book left by the owners and it was the best pizza we ever had. The cabin, once again, was spotless, quiet, and wonderful although we did appreciate the jazz playing on the satellite radio as we arrived. Great touch. We're making this our get-away cabin and will go no other place in HH.

My husband and I stayed in the Tree House cabin for three nights for his birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary. I cannot begin to describe the attention to every little detail that the owners put into making this cabin a peaceful and accommodating retreat, but I will try to list some: S'mores and set out with a nice hand-written note Fully stocked kitchen (dishes, utensils, pots/pans, blender, coffee maker, toaster, wine glasses, paper towels, napkins, skillets, knives, microwave, stove, spices, olive oil, tea, biscotti, candy ... on and on and on) Paper towels, towels, washcloths, coffee grounds/filters ... on and on) cabin impeccably clean, including the hot tub Literally hundreds of DVD movies. Lots of books, Sirius Radio. Cabin right across the road that is accessible to Salt Petre Caves. Also, cabin in prime location near horse trails, Caves and rappelling. Just lovely. We will return in a few months. (Be prepared to leave the premises as nice as you found it. There is a checklist of things to do before you leave, but nothing unreasonable.)

The Big Pine Tree House was so magnificent!!! Everything we could ever need was provided. The cabin...more like lodge was gorgeous with something unique on each level of the four levels. It was in a prime location near horse-back riding trails, rappelling, Salt Petre Caves across the road and Conkle's Hollow in walking distance. Best part was sitting on the front porch on a glider watching the stars and listening to the fountain with frogs serenading us in the background. Perfecto!!! Will be back in fall.

My best friend and I decided to take a Mom's holiday together as between us, we have six kids under 10 needless to say our lives are nothing short of chaotic. Thankfully our husbands agreed we needed time away and we were luck to get The Big Pine Tree House. We were not expecting a lot as we have both stayed at places that were not as nice as advertised. This cabin did not disappoint. We loved all the attention to detail, the wonderful customer service and not to mention incredible cabin. So spacious, clean. We loved the location woo...in walking distance to a lot of attractions like horse-back riding, Salt Petre and Conkle's Caves. It was snowing a lot so we did a spend a lot of time in the cabin playing board games, talking and cooking in the fully stocked kitchen. We loved every minute of it. We will be back and we might just bring our husbands.

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our sever year anniversary at a magical get-away and the BPTH did not let us down. What an amazing cabin. We will not go any other place. We went to Glen Laurel last year and yes, very nice, but very commercialized. The BPTH is so much better and so much more personal. The design is amazing and customer-service so above the rest. Julie is awesome and left us hot cocoa and home-made brownies. The cabin was spotless. The kitchen...great amenities...the DVD library had my favorite video...The Visitor...who knew. Love this place. We will come back. Say no to all other places in HH...this is the place to be...and they have the best hot-tub ever-r-r-r!!!

My sister told me about the Big Pine Tree House. Loved her pictures of this wonderful cabin. I had to go. Me and my husband decided to take a trip as we had never been. Luckily there was a cancellation so we went at the beginning of March. WOW. What an incredible place. I know lots of people travel to the Hills JUST to visit the caves but I can see people wanting to just come and stay at The Big Pine Tree House. It's a wonderful design built into the hillside. It is also near many attractions. The owners suggested we walk down to a trail that leads to a waterfall and people repel off of the cliff above. We trudged in the snow but it was worth it. We were the only ones there and it was so peaceful. My husband and I sat out on the huge rocks in the middle of the iced over creek and talked like we hadn't in years...and not about the kids! We went back tot he cabin to escape the cold and we had a fire in the fireplace in the cozy, home-like place. There is no wifi or cable but the owners have Satellite radio and a mega-dvd-library. They actually had one of my favorite films from the 80's...16 candles. It had been years since I saw it and it was a great surprise. They left popcorn for us which was a nice treat as well. This cabin is so nice, you will not want to leave and you will want to come back as soon as possible. Highly recommend.

Took my wife for our anniversary. Best place in Hocking Hills. Lots of space, beautiful view, everything you need and more. Nice owners. Will be back for our 6th!

My husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at The Big Pine Tree House. We had tried to book a few times before but the cabin was always rented for obvious reasons. It's a steal for the price and as a real estate agent...all I can say is, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is in a prime place close to everything. Conkles Cave is just down the road and Salt Petre Cave is across the road too. There is also a bridle trail and hidden waterfall in walking distance. The cabin is just gorgeous. Very clean too. The owner, Julie certainly puts her heart and soul into it and really treated us as if we were special guests. She left us some gourmet cocoa along with all the things to make smores. What a nice touch. Everything we needed was there unlike the last cabin we went to where we had to bring all paper products, coffee sweetener and they only left us a little jar of coffee that was almost gone. The cabin has everything from spices to shampoo and soaps and also tea and biscotti. They also left us microwave popcorn. The DVD library was enormous ad had some great chick flicks that my hubby was nice enough to watch...and then we watched the Expendables and he was happy. The hot tub was terrific and the fire-pit was great too. We had smores and I had not had them since I was a kid!!! Overall we give the cabin an A +. We did not want to leave and wished we could buy it for ourselves. Highly recommend!

So me and my hubby of eight years found our happy place...and we found it in the Big Pine Tree House. What's not to love?! Incredible place with loads of space, spectacular views, awesome location, great décor, nice owners! We rented in October which is the best month to go to in Hocking with all of the leaves changing and crisp, cool weather. We arrived at 4pm and when we drove up to the cabin, I thought we were actually at the wrong place because pictures just don't do it justice. It is a steal for the price! I would think a place like this would cost so much more to rent but luckily it's affordable. I like that there is so much space. I saw a previous review that states the owners don't try to cram 10 people in a small space like other cabins. This was spacious but yet cozy at the same time. The hot tub was great...away from the cabin so renters can enjoy the view. It was breathe-taking. The owner left us home-made brownies and hot cocoa....nice touch. We walked over to Salt Petre Caves across the road and it felt like we were the only two people on earth as not too many people know about it. We roasted hotdogs out at the fire-pit and put together a puzzle left with other games. This cabin is the best in Hocking Hills, hands down. We will never go to any other cabin again!

My three friends and I rented the Tree House for a girl's get-away. With kids, hubbies and jobs, we needed to unwind and recharge. The Tree House was just what we needed. What an incredible place! I read someone said it was magical and this describes it perfectly. So roomy...four levels. We walked around for about an hour marveling at the details and decorations. We appreciated the hot cocoa and everything needed to make Smores that the owner left for us with a nice note. We were going to go out for dinner but because of the great kitchen, we bought groceries at the cute, down home grocery called Grandma Fayes and came back and made dinner. The owner even leaves cooking oil, spices, and a lot of pots and pans. The last cabin we rented, supposedly "luxury", left one frying pan (old and gross) and a little sauce pan. This owner leaves everything from ample utensils, colander, muffin pan, etc. Very nice! She even leaves cooking books. We even used one of the recipes. We sat out by the fire pit and made our smores! We told stories, laughed like little kids and walked across the road to the creek that separates the property from Salt Petre Caves. The owner even leaves flashlights that we used on our nightly adventure walk. We relaxed in the hot tub. After, we watched a girly flick from the abundant DVD library. In the morning, the cabin was filled with sunshine from all of the glass windows. We went hiking at Conkle's Hollow down the road. We then drove to Logan to go antiquing at the various antique malls. We got back late but the cabin was lit up from the road....it does look more like a lodge because it's so big!!! What a great place. We did not want to leave. We are making this an annual girl's retreat! Thank you Julie and Mark!

My three girlfriends and I needed to get away for a girl's weekend to recharge, reconnect and relax. The Tree House was the perfect battery!!! What an amazing place!!! It is so roomy compared to other cabins. Four levels of amazing architecture. We took about an hour walking around, looking at the details, the wonderful décor, nook and crannies. It does have a lot of steps getting up to the front door so we were huffing and puffing a bit after we bought up all of our luggage,...but you'd have to expect that from a four-level home built inside of the hill. And yes, it is more like a home instead of a cabin because we felt instantly at home. We had planned to go to Millstone for dinner but the kitchen had everything from spices to cookbooks...so we went to a cute down-home grocery called Grandma Fayes and picked up all of our supplies for a dinner of hamburgers, salads and waffle fries!!! After, we made smores down by the fire-pit with the chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers left by the owner for us. The owner even leaves flashlights and little lanterns that we used to take a midnight hike, though the moon was bright so we really didn't need any other light. We came back and made a fire inside and played Trivial Pursuit from the various games available. Also, we went out to the hot-tub surrounded by God's beauty! For the finale, we watched a girly flick from the huge DVD library while eating popcorn left by the owner. This cabin has everything and we did not want to leave!!! That's the bad part...everything is so perfect it makes you feel bad when you have to leave. Thanks so much to Mark and Julie. What a special place you've made. We are making this an annual girl's get-away.

My daughters who are both grown and married decided to buy me a birthday gift, a girl's weekend in Hocking Hills. My husband, their father, passed away in 2012 and we always visited Hocking Hills on my birthday. This was really an emotional and thoughtful gift. They wanted it to be special. We rented a cabin that is no longer available so they wanted a very special and unique cabin to make it a possible yearly tradition. They chose The Big Pine Tree House. What an amazing treat! I have never seen such a beautiful and special cabin. They told me the owners spent about a decade building it themselves which made it even more special. The owner went out of her way to leave us baked brownies a vino that was my favorite. The layout of the place was amazing! The location was prime too as it was close to all the activities. We had arrived late so we stayed up talking by the firepit outside. I did not want to go to sleep and miss out with the lovely time with my girls and experiencing the beautiful cabin they found. We played games left by the owner and after, relaxed in the hot-tub. After that, we watched a couple of movies from the huge DVD library. The next day we made breakfast in the fully-equipped kitchen and sat on the deck. We went into town (Logan) and shopped at a couple of cute store...one of which was a consignment stores for clothes...a terrific find. We went hiking and then had lunch at the Hocking Hills Lodge which I highly recommend. We had a view of Old Man's Caves. We saw they had a public pool there so we went back to the cabin to get our swimsuits to have a little pool fun...my girls love the water!!! The weekend went to fast and we did not want to leave. We highly recommend this diamond of A find.

My husband I visited Hocking Hills for the first time. Hard to believe we live in Ohio and never heard of it until our friends told us about a cabin they stayed at called The Big Pine Tree House. We wanted to get away to reconnect after four kids grown and out of the house. We had not been on a vacation together minus the kids in 20 years. We found solstice in the Tree House. With no wifi or cable, we actually had no choice but to connect. We laughed and flirted like we hadn't done in years. The house was huge but we chose the upstairs bedroom as it had its own bathroom and was connected to the hot tub off the back porch. We have stayed in many places...even rode a boat down Venice...but we had never found a place quite like this. Beautiful woods....hiking at Old Man's Cave was quite the adventure. We had dinner at Jack's Steakhouse, highly recommended. Back to the cabin for wine on the front deck. I beat my husband in Trivial Pursuit...and then we watched a movie from the massive DVD library. Great place...will go nowhere else. We found our little hide-away from the rest of the world.

My fiancée and I needed a much need trip away from work stress! We are from PA and heard many great things from a couple we know who frequent the Hocking Hills area. They always stay at a really upscale five-star cabin and croft rental. Although it looked very nice, It seemed too pricey for what you get. We decided to look elsewhere. We looked at numerous locations and found The Big Pine Tree House. It was very impressive from the web-site and we loved the fact that the people who owned it had their honeymoon in Hocking, fell in love with the area and then spent years building their dream cabin. With out honeymoon coming around the corner, we could relate. Luckily it was available. When we got there, it was late but the cabin was lit up from the road. It looked more like a lodge. We had a key code so it was not a big deal getting there late with the hassle of a key. Loads of steps so we were winded once we got everything in the house...but well worth it. What an incredible place. Wine and homemade brownies awaited us with a personal note from Julie, the owner. The hot-tub was ready to go and this was the first place we went after a long day. The moonlight from the hot tub was luminous! We felt like the only two people on the planet! The fine architecture was very impressive as well. We stayed on the top floor....yes, there are four levels. A great bathroom right next to it and off of that bedroom was the porch and hot-tub...very convenient. There was a massive DVD library and funny, with my fiancée's favorite movie which was ironic as it is not a very mainstream film..."Support Your Local Sheriff." It was like the owner knew what we liked. The next day we hiked at Conkle's Hollow and across the Road from the cabin, Salt Petre Caves. The cabin is in a prime location and in walking distance, Happy Trails riding trails. We love horses and had made reservations in advance. What a spectacular ride. We highly recommend going there. Joe is the manager. Very nice guy. We ended up going to the Old Dutch restaurant too.....love the broasted chicken. Everything was perfect. We did not want to leave and I joked to my fiancée we should buy the place...if they ever sold it...but if I owned it...I never would. But here's to wishful thinking. Kudos to The Big Pine Tree House. A job well done.

My husband, son and daughter-in-law decided to visit Hocking hills for the first time for a much needed family get together. Even though my son and daughter-in-law live in Abraham and are a few miles from us, we rarely get to see them due to busy schedules. We wanted to make this get-together an affair to remember so we had to find a very special cabin. We found it in the Big Pine Tree House. I came across Tree House and it drew me in on Hockinghills.com and stood out from the other cabins. The picture made me want to be there. Luckily, we booked several months in advance and were lucky that it was available because we read that October is one of the most popular months. Let me tell you, we've been to places where the pictures look better than the actually place. The Tree House is just the opposite....it WAS much better than the pictures. The price was certainly a value as it is humongous! We got to the cabin late but the cabin was lit up and stood out...GORGEOUS!!! It was in pristine condition inside. The layout was incredible. The architecture was amazing. I can imagine it's a dusting nightmare but it certainly did not have any dust. Homemade brownies and hot cocoa awaited us with a nice handwritten note from the owner. The kitchen was fully stocked with even biscotti! Tea, honey, spices to cook with. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there but it really didn't matter. The cabin had a huge DVD library, books, games. Me and my daughter-in-law kicked the boys in Trivial Pursuit. The hot tub was great. The beds...so cozy and comfortable. We never wanted to go home. We will be back next year!!!

Came down with my husband. This place is truly a hidden diamond. The design is incredible. There are a lot of steps up to the cabin but then what do you expect from a place called The Big Pine Tree House. You get so much compared to other cabin rentals. The complementary wine was great. Loved the hot-tub...loved the view. Sitting on the front desk in the moonlight by candlelight was surreal. Would have stayed forever. It is an adult-only cabin. I can see why because of all the levels but wish they allowed children as I would have loved to have bought them but certainly understand. I give this cabin an A++++++++++++++++++++++++

I surprised my girlfriend for a get-away and after searching through numerous "ho-hum" cabins that all looked the same, I stumbled upon this cabin...spectacular. The cabin is probably over 2000 square feet...not like those cabins that try to fit 6-8 people in an 800 square foot space. This had four floors and views that were wonderful....the architecture was one of a kind. Julie, the owner went out of her way to make our stay special. There was one wrinkle that the renters who left the same day we arrived, left the hot-tub so dirty, Julie had to drain it and refill. Not her fault but she felt so bad we had to wait for the chemicals to circulate, she left us two bundles of free fire wood, complementary wine and home-made brownies to make up for the inconvenience. She also left us a nice personalized note. We enjoyed the big DVD library. In the morning, we did sit in the hot tub with our complementary coffee and biscotti. It was worth waiting for the hot tub. We hardly left the cabin. We did not want to leave. We will be getting married and coming back for our honeymoon. Can't imagine a more perfect place than The Big Pine Tree House. Thanks Julie. If you ever decide to sell, call us!

My wife and I enjoyed wedding anniversary number 21 there in July and loved the cabin. Comfortable beds, great hot tub, nice view of the woods from the covered porch, lots of DVDs to choose from, and great architectural details to enjoy. All around a great cabin in a convenient location. You'll love it too!

Me, my husband, his brother and wife went down in June to go zip-lining. We were so happy that The Big Pine Tree House was available as we had tried to rent it before but it was never available. Now we see why. We have stayed at many cabins in HH for the past ten years as a tradition when we get together every June. The BPTH was so unique and awesome...words cannot describe it and the pictures on the web-site cannot show how incredible this place is. I guess the owners spent many years building it all themselves and it shows. Every floor is so detailed. I had an 'awe' moment every time I went into a room...oh, not to mention the back deck, hot-tub with incredible views! The place was very clean and every touch was left with care. We felt like we knew Mark and Julie. Nice couple with great talents. Every photograph was taken in the HH region by Julie. Nice touch. Usually it's canned art in the cabins we stayed previously. As a photog myself, I guess I appreciate it more than others. Julie left us a fun bottle of wine with home-made cookies...delish. Loved the soap and shampoo pumps in the showers, very convenient. The kitchen is stocked with everything you want from coffee, tea, honey, spices, popcorn, hot cocoa....and loved the popcorn containers...cute. Loved the high quality dishes and wine glasses. The Sirius radio played throughout the home all weekend. There is no cable but who cares. It was nice to get away from all the bulls!!! of society and have fellowship with family. They do have a wide selection of DVDs and games. Trivial Pursuit was a hoot by the fire-pit as we roasted corn and hot dogs. Great place...great time...we will be back.

I searched through numerous places to stay for my honeymoon and when I saw this place it just stood out. I was so glad it was available. The owner went out of her way to make my special weekend special. After months of planning and entertaining, my fiancé, er, husband and I found serenity at The Big Pine Tree House. The cabin...or should I say, house design was unlike any I had seen before. Four levels of paradise I'd say. Mark and Julie have created a paradise in Hocking Hills. The place was spotless. Julie left us white wine (our fave), decdent cheese and crackers, olive....complementary teas, coffee, cancy....even spices and olive oil to cook. We had planned on going to Glen Laurel for dinner but decided to take advantage of the fully stocked kitchen. We made spaghetti and salad and ate it on the front deck as the peepers croaked below. It was surreal with the moonlight, crickets and glow of the candles. The hot tub was spectacular surrounded by woods. We saw a silhouette of a deer beyond the back...how perfect is that! The bed we slept in was Heaven. I found nothing to complain about except our stay seemed too short!!! We will be back!!!

My boyfriend bought me to this cabin on my birthday and I all I can say is, WOW! The architecture and craftsmanship was wonderful...not your typical run-of-the-mill log home you see in Hocking Hills. I love how it was built into the hill and was four levels high. I felt like I WAS actually in a tree house when I was on the top levels. The views were beautiful. The owner, Julie, let us check in early because she didn't have a renter checking out that day. She also left us my favorite kind of wine...a really nice Pinot Noir I had never tried before along with this big Brix chocolate to accompany it. It was not expected but wonderful to get. She also called to make sure we arrived okay and if there was anything she could do for us...but she had already done it! The place was pristine. Julie cleans it herself and makes sure it's spotless. The place was so roomy and full of sunshine. It was also across the street from Salt Petre Caves and we were able to enjoy a place that not many visitors know about. The Hot-tub is away from the cabin and even though it was cold getting down to it, it was worth being out in the open surrounded by trees...and behind us, cool rock formations. We were able to hike behind the cabin and the property ends top of a waterfall. You have to look for it though. The front deck was spectacular and Julie leaves candles to enjoy the place by firelight. The décor was very nice and unique. I LOVED the Chindi deers...I want one. My boyfriend plan on coming back on our honeymoon. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an adult get-away.

I've been going to Hocking Hills for years but wanted to try something different and special for our anniversary. This did not disappoint! The owner, Julie, was so nice and accommodating on the phone. She told me we wouldn't find anything else like the Big Pine Tree House in Hocking Hills and she was not lying! This place was a gem. From the moment we came up the drive to the minute we checked out, we were so truly impressed. The architecture is so unique. You can see this place was a labor of love. There are four levels and it is so spacious but cozy at the same time. She left us a complementary bottle of wine with homemade brownies and a handwritten note. She made us feel like we were special...not just another renter. The place was spotless and décor was seamless. The bedroom mattresses were like sleeping on a cloud in Heaven. The hot-tub is built out away from the cabin which I was concerned about at first but I can see why the owners put it where it is....spectacular view! The kitchen is fully-equipped and even has the oils and tons of spices with cookbooks in case you want to stay in and cook instead of going out...and trust me, you will not want to leave this paradise! Also, the owners own the property right across the street that ends at Salt Peter Caves. What a gorgeous hike!!! The owner also followed up with a phone call to make sure we arrived okay. There are also tons of DVD movies to choose from. My husband and I stayed up all night drinking complementary tea and eating the complementary popcorn. I did not want to go asleep and miss enjoying this wonderful place. There is something magical about it. I love the fact it such a value for what you get. Most other cabins charge you for almost everything. We did have to take our trash with us and I do understand as the there is no trash service and the owner tries to cut back on some things to afford a better experience for the renter. We will be back and will not go anywhere else.
