Art We Use Exhibit
Jun 20 thru Sep 1, 2016 5-7pm Opening of Exhibit A new national juried exhibition of Objects - with a broad base of media works in wood, clay, metal, glass, paper, fiber - from tools to teapots, from bowls and boats to baskets, from ladders to lounge chairs. Hurray for the beautiful, strong funny, surprising and unique objects that we use and love. An international Exhibition of objects both every day and special and features 127 works by 68 artists from 25 states and 2 foreign countries. The jurors were Paul Richelson, Chief Curator of Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile, Alabama; Jennifer Poellot Harnetty a 1996 Ohio University graduate who is now the managing editor of ceramicartsdaily.org; and Craig Nutt, a studio furniture maker and sculptor, whose work is in museums such as the Smithsonians American Art Museum, the High Museum of Art, the Mobile Museum of Art and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
