Join us for AOA's annual Spring blast. Shed your cabin fever and enjoy naturalist-guided hikes that highlight the gorgeous spring wildflower show at Mathias Grove gorge.

The time is here when the Appalachian foothills come to life with the beauty of the great white trillium-our state wild flower.

Hosted by Appalachia Ohio Alliance, a non-profit land conservancy serving central and southeastern Ohio, wishes to share this event at Mathias Grove.

Naturalist-led morning hiking trips and afternoon. Visit the many parts of the Mathias Grove and Demonstration Site properties to view diverse habitats and our natural wonder.

Potluck meal served in the picnic hall at Mathias Grove. Please bring a covered dish to share. Table service, drinks and ice cream will be provided.

Mathias Grove's neighbor Bobi Cherryholmes will lead a clean up of the roadsides along the Demonstration Site towards Rockbridge.

By helping us remove the Garlic Mustard you also help protect the wildflower habitat.

Please park along Bailey Road. Drive back only for deliveries and those with limited mobility. No pets, smoke free.

Please park along Bailey Road County Road 27. You may drive back the lane to drop off food or persons acquiring assistance. If you are unable to hike, please come to socialize lawn chairs are optional. Please, no pets. Remember Mathias Grove is smoke-free. Mathias Grove is protected from development in perpetuity through a conservation easement donation to the land trust Appalachia Ohio Alliance. We invite you to became a Member by making a donation.
