Beth Santore of the National Association for Gravestone Studies, an expert in gravestone symbolism and art, will co-lead a tour to the fascinating pioneer, immigrant, and African-American cemeteries in our areas. Stops will include Nelsonville's Fort St. Cemetery, built on Native American burial grounds, Haydenville's Wolfe Cemetery with its ceramic grave markers, and Payne's Cemetery with its Underground Railroad connection.
