7:30pm, 8:30pm, and 9:30pm Departures. Celebrate Independence Day in style. Take the train to the largest fireworks display in Southeastern Ohio, the annual Thunder in the Valley. The fireworks display is located not far from our depot, but saves you the aggravation of finding a place to park nearby. Park at the Nelsonville Depot and we'll let you off right where a great view is already to be had. Tickets are good for return to the depot at the show's conclusion. The fireworks are put on in part by the Nelsonville Fire Department. Once the fireworks has concluded, we will operate one return shuttle back to the depot. Tickets are only available at the depot starting at 600 p.m. on July 4th. Duration of ride Approximately 15 minutes each way.
