8-1030pm. This year is the 19th annual Thunder in the Valley, 4th of July Celebration in Nelsonville. At 8:00p.m. the public is invited to the Hocking Campus to enjoy the evening. You can bring your own food or vendors will be available to sell you food and drink items. As everyone settles in at 10:00 p.m., the Thunder in the Valley Fireworks Spectacular will begin. This year's display will be presented by the Nelsonville Area Chamber of Commerce.Fireworks will be launched from Hocking College. This year's display will be choreographed to music and simulcast by WXTQ, 105.5 FM. Parking is available at Hocking College and plenty of seating is available on the fields and lots. No parking will be permitted on Hocking Parkway or State Route 691. Alcoholic beverages and grills are not permitted on the Hocking College Campus. The show can be viewed from most areas of Nelsonville as it lights up the hills of Southeast Ohio.
