Voice

Feb 24, 2015
7:30pm. Voice are a versatile female a cappella vocal trio, formed in 2006, who feel as at home performing the medieval chant of Hildegard of Bingen as new contemporary compositions, and their own world folk arrangements.

Their individual vocal qualities and areas of specialization are the driving force behind their diverse repertoire and uniquely blended sound. Described by Meurig Bowen, Cheltenham Music Festival Director, as singing with a -distinctiveness of style, intriguing and convincing shifts of vocal timbre, and an appealing freshness of presentation- Voice create an engaging, intimate atmosphere wherever they perform, be it a dis-used railway arch, urban wheat field, church, or formal concert venue.

Voice are passionate about collaborating across art forms, such as The Ziggurat Builders and their latest program currently under development, which will bring together new song commissions and poetry to acknowledge and celebrate women in music.
