December 20, Family Traditions Weekend. The young and young at heart will enjoy a special weekend centered at the historic Union Station, the old Train Depot in Cambridge. This special day for families with children features movies, -The Educational Side of Dickens-, -Teddy Bear Tea-, cookie decorating, and even a ballerina performance.A special exhibit at the Guernsey County Historical Museum will feature the -One Room School House Presentation- with teachers on hand to tell the story of schools of long ago. Children and parents will have a great day as they learn about schools during the time of Charles Dickens. Maybe this year is the time to start a family tradition of visiting the Dickens Victorian Village...if you haven't already and here are more things to do while there - View Displays of 90 Dickens scenes, Enjoy a Victorian Full Tea, Watch the Guernsey County Courthouse Holiday Music and Light Show, Treat yourself to a Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride, and visit the National Museum of Cambridge Glass.
